During the Headshot Session I like to shoot at least 4 different looks. There is no magic number for the amount of shots I take, but as we will be editing throughout the shoot, together we will be able to get the best shots.
Personality, Confidence, Emotion, and Grrr, are a few words I like to use to describe the look and feel of what I want in an image. Anything that doesn’t fit this profile usually gets deleted during the session. To achieve only the best results, I am constantly coaching and helping to develop your look throughout the session. Why 'imperfection'? Part of the process is to achieve imperfection in the sense that anything too perfect just doesn't look right. So during the session, we strive for imperfection - a break in perfection!
You will usually end up with between 50-100 shots, selected between you and me during the session. These shots will be uploaded to a proofing website with a password that you can share with your family, friends, and agent making sure you get all the feedback necessary for selecting your final images for re-touching.
RETOUCHING + PRINTING
Once you’ve selected your images for re-touching, you can place an order directly through me. The cost for re-touching is $35NZD per image
I do not release any image that has not been re-touched
For printing, you can use any lab of your choice. You can also ask me, as I am more than happy to help.
CLOTHING
In this case, more is better! Bring around 5-10 changes concentrating mainly on the tops. Anything can work – jumpers, scarves, t-shirts, leather jackets - so if you’re unsure just bring it along. The key here being you must be comfortable – if it’s been stuck in your closet for the past year, then leave it there – or drop it at a charity shop along the way!
MAKE-UP + HAIR
The best way is to come looking how you would like to present yourself. If you require a make-up artist, that can be arranged for an additional fee.
Feel free to bring along any products you may need during the session to make sure that you’re always looking your best.
Men, feel free to come along with a little growth and a razor. We can shoot part of the session rough, and part shaved.
COST + SCHEDULING
My Headshot Session rate is $300NZD. There is a $150NZD deposit required to book a session, this is non-refundable and goes towards the full amount. The session lasts up to 2 hours. If you would like an additional hour, this is charged at an additional $100NZD

KIDS FEE
16 & under are charged at $180NZD for a 1 hour session
CONSULTING FEE
If you would like my opinion on which shots are the best from the session, I am happy to discuss this with you for $100NZD. As this will take some time, I need to charge for this service.
If for any reason you need to change a scheduled session, I require 72 hours notice, otherwise you forfeit your deposit. However, if I am able to fill your slot with another client within the 72 hour period then we would credit your deposit towards your rescheduled session.
PAYMENTS
A non-refundable deposit of $150NZD is required to book a full session and $90NZD is required for a kids session. It is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due the day of the session before shooting.
The re-touching fee of $35NZD per image is due after you have selected your images for re-touching, and before re-touching begins.
Accepted forms of payment are cash, checks, bank transfer, and PayPal.
